Dog Training Services

I’m Jake and I provide dog training services that specialize in basic obedience, behavior modification, puppy training and socialization. My dog training program will remain fluid and flexible throughout in order to accommodate each individual client.

This is not the type of program where you send your dog off to be trained by someone else. It’s a hands-on foundational education for both the dog and the owner. You can take the training as far as you want to, but ultimately its up to you to do the work!

I’m located in Prior Lake, MN, and serve the greater Southwest Metro area. Additional charges will be added for customers outside of a 25-minute radius of Prior Lake. Drive fees are $10 for 25-30 minutes. $20 for 30-35 minutes. $50 for 35-40 minutes. Anything over 40 minutes will be discussed when signing up.  

Puppy Obedience Training

8-12 weeks of age is the best time to begin training your puppy. Socializing, exposure, and desensitizing should be the top priority for people who bring home an 8 week old.

The pup will begin to form lifelong habits at this age. It’s important to guide the dog properly to ensure they are well behaved with people and other dogs.

New Puppy Obedience Package: This 6-session, 6-week package is designed for 8-12 week old pups. Topics will vary from everything you need to know about your pup, proper handling, socialization, exposure, and basic obedience. Training sessions will be held in the home.  Clicker is included.

Basic Dog Obedience Training

Tailored to fit your exact needs, my basic obedience program is designed to teach you how to build an unbreakable bond with your K-9 companion.

Once you understand how to speak their language, training will quickly become a favorite activity for both you and the dog.

Basic Obedience Package: This 5-session package is designed to meet the needs of most individuals and families seeking general obedience training and behavior modification.

The sessions are spaced out a week apart in order to give the newly-trained behaviors time to take hold. Training sessions will be held in the home.  Clicker is included.

Consultation is $200!(Plan on 1.5+ hours, includes a leash and clicker)  Individual 1-hour Sessions: Individual sessions are available for any immediate issues you might be having. More sessions are available if you decide to continue your education.  Clicker is included.

Phodography (Dog Photography)

Phodography Package: 1-hour photo-shoot that includes 5 digital prints.

Getting Started - Recommended Equipment

  • Regular flat collar (Martingale style is recommended) and a light-weight 4-6 ft. leash (no retractable leashes to start)
  • Treat pouch
  • Soft training treats
  • Long line – (10-50 ft.)

  • I may recommend a tool for leash skills if needed (Harness, Gentle Leader, Prong Collar)
